Oman Ophthalmic Society is hosting the 1 st Joint International Ophthalmic Conference, in collaboration with the German Ophthalmological Society on 12th, 13th, and 14 th December 2013, at the Al-Bustan Palace Hotel in Muscat, the capital of Sultanate of Oman.

The spotlight of our meeting is on "Corneal and Retinal Diseases, Hyperbaric Medicine, and Research in Ophthalmology. We are especially honored to have eminent speakers in the field to deliver the keynote lectures. They include among others Prof. Anselm Kampik (Retina), Prof. Des Gorman (Hyperbaric Medicine), Prof. Charles McGhee (Cornea) and many other international speakers.

We are hopeful that the conference will have something for everyone, and prove professionally, socially, and personally rewarding to all.

The Sultanate of Oman, the third largest nation in the Arabian Peninsula, is a prosperous, modern, and stable country. Today, although blessed with modern infrastructure, Oman has retained its sense of hospitality and friendliness. The stunning natural beauty of the land of frankincense includes undulating contours of Sharquiya deserts, the beautiful Arabian Sea, a pristine underwater world of coral reefs and the surprising lush green hills of Dhofar.

Ahlan wa Sahlan-Welcome to Oman.
